About us

Welcome to the Tech To The Rescue Foundation

Founded in 2020, the Tech To The Rescue Foundation has the ambitious goal of making pro-bono work an industry-standard in the tech world, by enabling impactful matches between tech companies and leading nonprofits. Our vision is that by fostering these collaborations we can solve the world’s most pressing problems through technology.

We started TTTR with a strong belief that every digital services company has the potential to build solutions for changemakers free of charge. Since our launch, we have attracted more than 1000 tech companies to our community and activated hundreds of them to build at least 1 pro-bono project per year.

At the core of our growth is a uniquely designed matching system, that enables us to connect tech and nonprofit teams for impactful collaborations, based on expertise and interests. This is how, one match at a time, we are bridging the gap between two worlds – technology and social innovators.

The infographic below shows how our matching process works.

We bridge the tech resources gap in the impact sector

Social innovators and software engineers speak different languages; without understanding each other, it is difficult to build trust, recognize the right partner, and create long-term value.

Through our experience of working with more than 1000 nonprofits from over 80 countries, we have a vast understanding of the key challenges of impact-driven organizations and how technology could help in bridging the digital equity gap.

Why invest in tech solutions for nonprofit organizations

Changemakers, particularly nonprofit organizations, have shown effective interventions around the world. Only in our network, we’ve seen social innovators that multiply every $1 into even $20 of value for beneficiaries.

They have a great deal of understanding of local contexts and cultural backgrounds. We need to give them ways to scale their solutions from the community level to the region and then to society.
