Last week in Davos, our co-founders Jacek Siadkowski and Daniel Di Giusto participated in a panel dedicated to “AI for Social Impact” at The Dome in Davos, Switzerland. Here are Jacek’s reflections after the panel discussion.

“With all the advantages of this revolutionary tech, how do we actually empower nonprofits to use it at all their impact levels?”Jacek Siadkowski, CEO at Co-founder at Tech To The Rescue

“It was a great pleasure to discuss AI & social impact on the TCS Dome Davos stage yesterday with Dr. Frauke Goll (AppliedAI Institute for Europe), Naomi Morenzoni (Salesforce), Bernhard Kowatsch (World Food Programme). A big thank you to Robert Jacobi (The Nunatak Group) for facilitating the panel!

  • One of the biggest AI-related challenges for nonprofits is the lack of know-how.
  • This is what nonprofit organizations often tell us when they come looking for IT support for their projects.
  • With all the advantages of this revolutionary tech, how do we actually empower nonprofits to use it at all their impact levels?

My take: it cannot happen without major support from both major technology firms (through know-how sharing, pro bono support), philanthropies, and donors (via grants and donations). Nonprofits are at the forefront of change and impact, especially at the local level, so often underlined as essential in addressing today’s ESG challenges. It’s our duty to help nonprofits join the AI revolution. This is why we made AI for Changemakers enablement one of the two major programs at Tech To The Rescue this year.”
