Tech To The Rescue is a global platform connecting technology companies with nonprofits around the world to solve the world’s most pressing problems through technology. Since 2020, we have enabled more than 650 impactful pro-bono collaborations between tech companies and nonprofits from more than 60 countries.
Our mission is to make pro-bono work for nonprofits a new tech industry standard and to harness impactful collaborations that allow us to solve the world’s most pressing challenges with innovative technological solutions.
The big idea behind the AI for Changemakers program is about bridging the AI access gap and fostering impactful collaborations between the tech and impact sectors. Therefore, funding is not our primary goal, but we want to offer tech companies a chance to shine and showcase their AI solutions in case studies, webinars, impact videos and by inviting selected projects on stage during the global Demo Days.
After completing the application and qualification interview stages, we will select a limited number of nonprofits in every impact cohort. All selected nonprofits will benefit from:
- Access to pro-bono AI talent and tech companies
- Access to a community of mentors and experts
- AI Strategy boot camps
- 2 years of ongoing AI support
- Practical progress checks
- Demo day event to pitch to potential donors.
First, your organisation must register as a member of Tech To The Rescue (free of charge) and submit an application. Selected organisations will be invited to a Qualification Interview with our Nonprofit Relations Team.
To be selected, your organization must demonstrate a proven, scalable social intervention with high impact potential in one of our five program cohorts. A strong, diverse, and committed leadership team is crucial. Your organization should have the capacity to absorb and implement AI strategically, with dedicated internal resources, and possess the basic technical know-how to maintain AI solutions.
Companies interested in providing pro bono services to support the accelerator can register at any time throughout the program duration for the cohort that aligns best with their interests and expertise. However, early registration ensures faster access to the pipeline of highly impactful projects, maximizing opportunities for collaboration and contribution.
Nonprofit organisations are welcome to apply to a relevant Impact Cohort (Disaster Management, Climate, Health, Education, Economic Opportunities) to be selected for the program. If you need help finding a cohort for your organisation, contact us at [email protected].
Registration and membership in the AI for Changemakers community on Discord is free of charge. As a community member, you commit to engage in and complete at least 1 pro-bono tech project in collaboration with a nonprofit organisation selected in then program.
We encourage you to share your process and learnings within the community and beyond, to inspire more tech leaders to join the movement.
Register right away and use the opportunity to get acquainted with the community, mentors, and ongoing projects. This will help you to get ready for when your impact cohort of interest is ready to release/ publish their impactful AI projects. Only community members will have the chance to select projects that they want to engage in.
At Tech To The Rescue, we have 4+ years experience in matching tech companies with nonprofits for pro-bono projects; having said that – we know plans sometimes change. If something changes in your availability or business plans, and you have to drop off a project, please get in touch with us and we will find a solution.
The program includes 5 impact cohorts spanning over the years 2024 – 2026. Depending on the scope and duration of the projects, we will be informing the community about new cohorts and opportunities for them to make an impact.
We welcome new sponsors to join us in co-creating additional parts of our program, amplifying its impact together. Your support is not just financial; it’s an opportunity to shape our initiatives, innovate, and make a lasting difference. Let’s build a brighter future hand in hand. Contact us at [email protected].
